The Chase Sapphire Reserve card has 100,000 point sign up bonus along with a handful of other benefits that justify the $450 ( non waived the first year) annual fee. January 11th (today) is the last day to apply on line. After that, the bonus goes down to 50,000 points.
You can apply in person at a Chase branch for this card until March 11th. I had success applying at a local branch but was refused for a chase freedom card on line, due to their 5/24 rule. At some point, Chase will close down this work around so if you want this card ( and you should), get to your local Chase bank branch by March 11th.
Also, there is no on line referral for this card so applying at a local branch doesn’t ‘cost’ you anything.
One of the perks of the Chase Sapphire Reserve card is a $300 annual travel credit. The wording on when the offer starts is a little confusing but basically, if you get the card in December ( like I did) you will miss out on the current year travel credit. I would recommend applying in February so you can get the credit for 2017 and then again in 2018.
